Does everyone know that no pump, pill or exercise will make the penis bigger, or will it?
"They keep asking me that, " says Michael, MD, a urologist at Harvard Medical Institute and Women's Clinic in Boston. "Men are willing to do anything to enlarge their penis. "But is it true?
Not really. "This is complete nonsense, " O'Leary repeats wearily. In the end, if it was that simple, then every man would have a 30cm penis for a long time.
But common sense does not stop everyone. Thanks to our constant effort for self-improvement, penis enlargement ads are everywhere. Illegally sold penis enlargement pills are advertised on television. Without your consent, such ads are constantly sent to you via email. More than 10, 000 men in the United States, probably many more, have undergone more than controversial penis enlargement surgery.
But do not rush to get money and take off your pants. We have reviewed all the fraudulent methods of penis enlargement and we are ready to share them with you.
Can my penis get bigger?
First, even if you are sure that you have a small penis, it can actually be, paradoxically, of normal size. The average size of an erect penis is 10-15 cm.
The length of a penis without an erection can vary. But that means that if you notice in the locker room that someone has an impressive penis size, it is unlikely to become much larger in an upright position and conversely, a penis that looks small can grow significantly.
Second, if you still think you have a small penis, even if the ruler says otherwise, then you can diagnose yourself in the field of psychiatry: a deformed disorder in your penis. This diagnosis is close to his body's distorted perception of anarchy, when a person continues to consider himself fat, even painfully impossible. According to a study, most men who undergo penis enlargement surgery have this disorder. They remain dissatisfied with their size after surgery.
"Men with normal penis sizes who think they are small are more likely to benefit from a psychiatrist than a surgeon, " said Karen Elizabeth Boyle, MD, an assistant professor of urology at the Johns Hopkins Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Clinic in Baltimore.
Pumps, pills, mountain goat herbal tinctures and other nonsense for penis enlargement
Well, enough reasonable advice from experts. Here's a quick summary of how to enlarge your penis if you have not already done so.
VACUUM PUMP. This is a classic penis enlargement device. Insert your penis into a cylinder connected to an air pump. With the help of a vacuum, more blood enters the penis, causing it to straighten and enlarge. Next, pinch the penis with a tourniquet-like ring to prevent blood from returning.
These pumps are used in medicine to treat sexual dysfunction. But the effect of an enlarged penis disappears quickly. Once you remove the ring, the penis will return to its normal size.
Potential risks include temporary disability, abscesses, bruises, damage to blood vessels and the skin loses its natural color and becomes thinner. The ring is worn for a maximum of 20-30 minutes, after which tissue damage can begin.
Exercises, weights and other devices. First, remember: you can not extend your penis with exercises like biceps. This is not a muscle. However, some stimulation devices and types are supposed to stretch the skin and lengthen the penis itself.
A famous example is jelqing, a set of exercises with pulling milking. Of course, this method has an "ancient" (read "fake") history: the site is talking about an ancient Arabic technique passed down from father to son. Details promise to be revealed after the money transfer. But exercises according to the jelqing system require a large investment of time, that is 30-60 minutes of daily active penile contractions. And the real difficulty is that these exercises have to be done on a penis that is not erect. So you need self-discipline, a lot of free time and a door that locks.
Another way to enlarge the penis is to wear a special device on the penis that stretches it, sometimes this device needs to be worn for 8 hours a day, using weights. "It kind of sent me something, " says O'Leary, "it looked like a medieval torture machine. "
Does one of these methods work? Boyle says no. O'Leary, very carefully, says that they may be able to stretch the skin. But without any effect on the size of the penis. Also, these methods require inhuman diligence. Risks include tissue damage, ruptured blood vessels and other problems. O'Leary recently saw a patient wearing heavy weights on an erect penis and destroyed it by tearing tissue. The result is unbearable pain and surgery.
Tablets, supplements and creams. Complete nonsense. No exceptions. Most are made with yohimba, ginseng and of course mountain goat herb. There are no registered cases of penis enlargement with their help.
Surgical penis enlargement
Unlike most penis enlargement methods, surgery can be effective. Something that even critics admit. Of course, there are risks and the results may not be as impressive as you might expect. A 2006 study published in European Urology found that the average length added with surgery is less than 2. 5 cm. Mark P. Solomon, MD, a plastic surgeon, notes that the results are mediocre, but slightly better thaneverything before the operation.
There are two main types of penis enlargement surgeries:
- Penis lengthening. The penis is attached to the pelvis using strong cords called support ligaments. They are attached to the penis and hide part of it inside the body. Surgical cutting of these ligaments relieves tension and, in theory, most of the penis becomes visible. To prevent the joints from healing, you may need to wear a weight or traction device daily for six months.
- Thickening of the penis.Initially, the procedure consisted of taking adipose tissue from another part of the body and adding it to the shaft of the penis, making it more voluminous. But this did not bring positive results. The adipose tissue was partially absorbed and the penis looked abnormal. "These penises looked like cobblestones, " says Solomon.
A new version of this technique implants an allograft, a tissue transplanted from a genetically dissimilar organism used in many types of reconstructive surgery. The surgeons who perform these surgeries, Solomon and Brian J. Rosenthal, MD, a urologist practicing in Beverly Hills, agree that the allograft gives a bigger and better result. We do not know how the donor tissue will behave after the transplant.
There are other types of penis enlargement surgery. For overweight patients, the fatty tissue at the base of the penis is removed by liposuction. Some doctors perform surgeries to increase the length and thickness of the penis at the same time, others do them gradually.
While Dr. Rosenthal predicts the same widespread use of penis enlargement surgery as breast augmentation, Dr. Solomon disagrees. He believes that the main obstacle here is the cost of the operation. Penis lengthening surgery costs about 5-10 thousand dollars. While the thickening operation costs from 5 to 7 thousand only for the allograft, without calculating the cost of the operation itself. Considering the work, the operation will cost you more than 20 thousand dollars.
Penis enlargement, risks and complications
Of course, before you go to the operating table, it is important to think about the potential risks. No reputable medical organization recommends such surgeries for men with a normal penis. The American Urological Society emphasizes that such surgeries are not recognized as safe or effective.
Several studies in this area are also not encouraging. Thus, a study conducted by the European Union of Urology examining 42 cases of penis enlargement surgery showed that only 35% of patients were satisfied and 50% continued to seek further penis enlargement surgeries.
"I had real nightmares, " says O'Leary, describing the times she had to correct the consequences of failed surgeries. Known complications include scarring, infection, change in normal erection angle, decreased sensation and impotence. In some cases, penis lengthening surgery can make the penis shorter as the incised tissue grows into the pelvic floor and most of the penis ends up inside the body.
Surgeons who claim that the surgeries are generally successful and cases of serious complications are rare. "I've done thousands of them, " says Rosenthal. "We are quite advanced in improving the technique of performing surgeries and helping patients. "
They are also tired of the arguments that a psychiatrist can help people who undergo such operations. The operation allows the man to better understand himself, he says. A woman who wants to enlarge her breasts, why does no one say crazy? So what is the difference?
O'Leary insists there is a difference. Unlike breast augmentation surgeries, no matter how we treat them, but which have become part of medical practice, penis enlargement surgeries are not.
"If there was a legal process for such transactions, there would be no problem, " O'Leary continues. "But there is no such approved procedure that guarantees safety and effectiveness. "
Doctor - prescribe penis enlargement surgery!
If you are still hoping to find a legal way, do not despair. There is a method of penis enlargement that all doctors recommend - weight loss. Yes, it does not sound serious, but it can help.
"Many of my patients who complain of small penises were overweight, " says Boyle. Normal-sized penises appear smaller on the background of the obese body, hidden in the folds of fat. Therefore, weight loss will visually make the penis longer and bigger.
Be discreet. Most penis enlargement methods are a waste of money. Surgery is expensive, dangerous and unexplored. In cancer, it makes sense to talk about experimental surgery, but that's not the case.
See it this way: the penis is a very thin and sensitive organ. And that makes him so great. It is worth thinking very carefully before you dare to increase it. It's worth the risk of turning a normal-sized penis, which works well, into a huge porn movie, which, as a result, may stop working.
